Just to make life difficult, copyright law varies among countries.

The Irish Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000 outlines what the

story is in this part of the world. Fundamentally, Section 21 defines

the photographer as the author of a photographic work, and first

ownership of copyright resides with the photographer as stated in

Section 23.

What does this mean to you, the client?

It means that we, Norton Associates, own the copyright of any

photographic work we create for you. However, as a matter of

course we include one year of unlimited usage for such work unless

an alernate arrangement is agreed.

The scope of copyright law and related issues can be a bit hairy to

deal with briefly, so we'll shave this off here... give us a shout if you

need further details.
